The annual Burtonsville Day Celebration is back again! The theme of this year is “Discovering East County”

Old Columbia Pike will be closed from Old Briggs Chaney Road (Paint Branch High School) to Marilyn J. Praisner Library from 9:30 am until approximately 11:30 am. The road closures are shown in the map below.
Perrywood Drive will be also closed from Carson Drive to Old Columbia Pike from 9:30 am until approximately 11:00 am.
If you have anything planned outside of the neighborhood, we encourage you to leave earlier than the time stated above so that you will be able to travel on Old Columbia Pike. Thank you for your cooperation.
In the event of an emergency, Montgomery County Police will make provisions for you to be able to leave the community, otherwise you will not be able to leave until after the parade.
PARADE
The procession begins at 10:00 am at Paint Branch High School and ends at the Praisner Center.

Walk, Roll, or Bike: If you live nearby, consider going car-free and avoid the hassle of parking. Old Columbia Pike has a striped bikeway on the shoulder and sidewalks.
Car: If driving, plan to arrive BEFORE the Old Columbia Pike Road Closure at 9:30 am. You can find free parking at:
To allow people to watch the parade from the street, please do not park on Old Columbia Pike.
Transit: Unfortunately, there is no transit service to the Praisner Library: the Z6 and Z7 Metrobus only serve the library on weekdays.
